MUSICIAN'S CORN ROAST
The 22st annual Musician’s Corn Roast, in memory of country music artist Larry Dee will take place again this year at the home of Paul and Charlene Wasson. Come and enjoy eight hours of great music by some of Ontario’s leading country stars.
Also enjoy the motorcycle show & shine. See posters around town for more information.

ROTARY AQUARAMA
Aquarama, Port Perry Rotary Club’s popular summer event is back! This is a great spectator or participation event for families and businesses. Watch teams race around a course in front of Palmer Park, and raise money for
various Rotary Club projects.

BLACKSTOCK FAIR
One of the areas longest running one-day fairs starts with a parade Saturday morning. This year’s theme is “The Potato”. Don’t be a couch potato - come to the fair and enjoy super kid’s world, crafts, livestock shows, horse pull, agricultural tent and much more.

Parade: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Blackstock Fairgrounds
Parking: on-site $2.00 per day

DEMOLITION DERBY
Come enjoy one of the most awaited nights of the year in Blackstock, when they host their annual Demolition Derby. Thrill to the sights, sounds and smells as cars try to bring their competitors to a standstill. Competitors are still being signed up in all classes.

PORT PERRY FAIR
All roads lead to Port Perry later this month for the annual Port Perry Fair. The three-day event really gets underway on Sunday with exhibits, midway, dairy and beef shows and entertainment. Be sure not to miss the opening ceremonies and the OPP Golden Helmets.
Dates: Sat., Sept. 5 to Mon. Sept. 7
Opening Ceremony: Saturday 6:30 p.m.

UNITED WAY KICK-OFF
Plans are underway for the kick-off of the second annual Port Perry United Way campaign and the local organization is planning on making it a fun event.
Returning to the event will be the popular
“Tour de Perry Trike Race... that’s right a tricycle race!
This is a great chance to cheer on your favourite team and watch as local businesses vie to win the coveted
“Tour de Perry Trophy.”
Also back are local firefighters who will be stationed behind the barbeque grill serving up free hamburgers and entertainment by local musician Irwin Smith.

ELVIS SINGS AGAIN
Ron Moore will bring his “Elvis Sings Again” concert to the Scugog Island Hall next month.
Music lovers and especially fans of Elvis won’t want to miss this great show, which starts at 8 p.m. on
