MUSICIAN'S CORN ROAST
The 21st annual Musician’s Corn Roast, in memory of country music artist Larry Dee will take place again this year at the home of Paul and Charlene Wasson. Come and enjoy eight hours of great music by some of Ontario’s leading country stars. Also enjoy the motorcycle show & shine. See posters around town for more information.

MISSISSAUGA POW WOW
One of the most exciting and colourful events of the summer takes place later this month as the Mississaugas of Scugog Island hold their 12th annual Pow Wow. The public is invited to attend and watch the grand entry, experience traditional native dances and drum groups, and enjoy the native crafts and displays.
Dates: Saturday, July 19, Sunday, July 20
Grand Entry: 12 noon both days
Location: Scugog Island, 1 km past Great Blue Heron charity Casino
Admission: $5.00 each

HIGHLAND OF DURHAM GAMES
This is the 14th annual Celtic Festival and celebration with a touch of Old Scotland. Enjoy three days of traditional Scottish entertainment, including a massed band performance, livestock shows, heavy events, car shows and lots of Celtic fare. Don’t miss this exciting weekend. Visit the Highlands of Durham Games.

TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL
Get set for sights, sounds and smells of the Scugog Township’s biggest and best Tractor and Truck Pull in Blackstock this weekend. The two day event this year features a Big Truck Show & Shine on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
Dates: Friday & Saturday, July 4 and 5
Time: Friday 7:30 p.m. & Saturday 6:30 p.m.
Location: Blackstock Fairgrounds
Admission: Adults $8; Kids under 12 - $2.00

The Music Man
Cadenza Productions presents A musical classic, it follows fast-talking con man Harold Hill in his attempt to convince the citizens of River City, Iowa that what their town needs to keep it’s youngsters from moral decline is a boys’ band, complete with instruments and uniforms. But just as Harold is about to skip town with his new-found wealth, he realizes he may have finally met his match in the lovely and willfull town librarian, Marian Paroo.
